Who's Who at OGSLP?Nicole Mills

Name: Nicole Mills
Department: Communications, Financial Education and Outreach (CFEO)
Title: Staff Assistant
Tenure with OGSLP: 4 years

How do your daily duties directly impact the people OGSLP serves?
I provide administrative support to the Communications team and Oklahoma Money Matters (OKMM), OGSLP’s financial literacy initiative. One of my primary duties is to fill publication requests we receive from our school customers and industry partners. It’s my job to make sure they’re getting the resources and tools they need in a timely manner so they can more effectively serve our community.

What are some of the unique services your department provides?
The OKMM department offers on-site trainings, program development support and a wide range of educational materials, and our Communications department disseminates important information and publications about college planning, paying for college and industry news. We offer these services free of charge to help our colleagues spread the word about the value of higher education, financial literacy, and student loan management.

What has made you successful in your position at OGSLP?
Call me crazy – but I enjoy change. I believe my ability to adapt has helped me succeed. Plus, it keeps things interesting!

What do you like most about your job?
I really appreciate the opportunities I have to learn new things. Since joining the CFEO team, I feel I’ve improved several vital skills and have become a more effective employee.

What are your hobbies or interests?
I absolutely love spending time with my family and friends. I have a 14-month-old little girl and she is my world. Most of my spare time is spent with her, but when I’m not playing with baby dolls or reading pop-up books, you can usually catch me shopping.
