FFELP Continues to be a Valuable Resource for Oklahoma Schools
- FFELP borrowers have a "choice in lender" that can result in less expensive loans and/or local servicing
- Oklahoma lenders offer support for important financial aid initiatives
- OGSLP's progressive Early Assistance program educates borrowers before repayment begins to ensure a smooth transition to repayment. Lenders provide OGSLP with data critical to the success of this program
- The Default Prevention School Tool (DPST) - offered free of charge by OGSLP - allows schools to track and manage their default rate performance while using proven techniques to prevent defaults.
- OGSLP educates Oklahoma families about college preparation, financial aid and personal finance through outreach programs, publications and media communications, and our innovative personal finance program, Oklahoma Money Matters.
- OGSLP provides customized training for institutional staff, which can be conducted on campus or at our facility.
- OGSLP provides critical funding that supports:
- All administrative costs associated with the OSRHE state grant and scholarship programs.
- Annual maintenance costs for OkCollegeStart.org, the student portal
- A publicity campaign for the Oklahoma's Promise scholarship program to reach the families who need it most
