If you don't make your student loan payment for 270 days, your loan will default and the outstanding balance becomes immediately due. We are here to help you set up a payment plan that fits your financial situation, so you can get your loan repayment back on track.

After default, we can set you up on a monthly payment plan to repay your loan within 10 years, with a minimum monthly payment of $50. Contact our Recoveries department at 800.522.8022 (toll-free) or 405.234.4375 for payment options.

Repayment Options

If you can't afford a regular repayment plan, you'll be asked to complete a Financial Questionnaire PDF to determine your eligibility for a reduced payment plan, which will be reviewed every year.

Once we get your completed questionnaire, required verification and good faith payment, we'll evaluate your situation and may adjust your repayment plan. If you don't send verification, we must set your payment at the regular payment amount and not a reduced amount. You'll be notified of this arrangement by mail. Once you get your Repayment Agreement, sign and return it along with the required verification to OCAP.
