:: American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 ::
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) is the economic stimulus package that creates supplemental appropriations for job preservation and creation, infrastructure investment, energy efficiency and science, assistance to the unemployed, and state and local fiscal stabilization. Student aid provisions seek to increase the Pell Grant award, work study funding and unsubsidized Stafford loan limits, and provides funding to help ED administer student aid and loan programs.
